Eileen Slimm, LPN
Eileen Slimm joined Plastic Surgery Arts in 1999 and brings more than twenty years of cosmetic surgery experience to our practice. She has worked in every aspect of cosmetic medicine, from assisting us in the operating room, recovering our patients, and handling all of our post operative skin care.
Her love of skin care and working with surgical patients created the perfect combination of nurturing patients and helping them to accomplish their appearance goals.
Her advanced training and experience have helped many of Plastic Surgery Arts patients in receiving maximum surgical results, by preparing their skin in advance of their procedure, as well as, helping to accelerate the healing process.
Eileen also assists patients with camouflage during the healing process (when bruising and skin discoloration may be a problem. This allows patients) allowing them to return to a normal activity level sooner, knowing they look presentable to be in public.
For the non-surgical patients she offers in-office treatments to repair damaged skin and maintain healthy skin. Eileen will select the appropriate products for your skin type and is available for telephone consultations when you have a question or concern. Her regular clients also appreciate her ability to fine tune the treatment regimen as the seasons change; she is truly an expert and a wonderful asset to the patients of Plastic Surgery Arts. Botox
Botox has become one of the most popular procedures in the United States for minimizing facial wrinkles in the forehead and eye areas. Our treatments are so advanced that we have developed a specialized injection technique allowing us to raise the brows and eliminate most of the forehead wrinkles without leaving the waxy, expressionless appearance that is objectionable to most people. We can also effectively treat crow's feet, lower eyelids, neck bands and even "pebbly chins".
Collagen Replacement Therapy and other fillers
Collagen is commercially available and is injected into lines, depressions, scars and lips to achieve a desired result. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and enhances the lips by an injection technique. A skin test must be performed first about one month prior to treatment to make sure that you are not allergic to the collagen material. Collagen is reabsorbed by the body after three to five months.
In the very near future, several new products available in Europe will be available in the United States. These new substances are organic polymers which are generally associated with fewer side effects and remain longer before being reabsorbed, sometimes up to one year. We are eagerly awaiting the release of these products and anticipate excellent results with them. Microdermabrasion
Using unique fine crystal technology we remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells by gently and precisely exfoliating the surface of your skin. For the best results we recommend a series of treatments that span over several weekly visits. The results are fresher younger looking skin.
Alphahydroxy (AHA) Chemical Peels
Used in combination with Microdermabrasion or alone these unique plant and sugar acids break down the chemical bond of the intercellular glue that holds the dead skin layer together. Skin looks and feels more vibrant while removing sun damage and addressing premature aging.
Bio Medic? Micro Peel
In a unique three-step process your skin becomes refined and firmer, sun-damaged skin cells are cast off, oil and congested pores are unblocked.
Step One: We remove a micro-thin top layer of skin, which frees the skin of dead cellular build-up.
Step Two: Physical exfoliation is followed by the application of an AHA appropriate for your special skin sensitivity and condition. This step loosens the bond of dead cells within the pore
Step Three: Cryogenic Therapy produces an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Pores appear smaller and the skin is left toned and refreshed. The procedure is concluded with the application of an appropriate moisturizer and UV protection.
