Breast Revision
Patient 1. This patient is a 36-year-old woman who had previously undergone breast augmentation by another surgeon through an endoscopic technique. 330 cc implants were placed in the submuscular position. As is frequently the case with endoscopic or through-the-bellybutton techniques, the implants have ended up in the wrong location; too high and too lateral. At surgery, I determined that the muscle had not been completely divided. By fully releasing the pectoral muscle and modifying the capsule around the implants, I was able to create a pocket in better position. New silicone implants of 375 cc volume were inserted creating an improved result for this patient. Although she remains a full C cup, her aesthetics are greatly improved. |
