Brow Lift (Endoscopic Brow Lift)

A wrinkled forehead and sagging brows not only give the face an aged, worried look, they also affect the appearance of the upper eyelids by giving the eyes a tired look. The newer technique of endoscopic surgery utilizes small incisions to lift the forehead and brow line. Patients can quickly resume their normal lifestyle looking younger and more invigorated, often within one week. This procedure is frequently performed in conjunction with a facelift or eyelid enhancement to add balance to facial rejuvenation.

    Eyelid Rejuvenation (Blepharoplasty)

    Upper Eyelids

Your eyes receive more attention day in and day out than any other feature, which is why blepharoplasty is such a frequently selected procedure by both men and women. The drooping of upper eyelids can result in a tired, sad look. In extreme cases, there can even be obstruction of vision. The upper blepharoplasty incision is made in the eyelid fold, rendering it nearly invisible, yet dramatically restoring eyelids to a more youthful state. Recovery is usually complete in several days and the procedure can even be performed under local anesthesia alone if desired.

    Lower Eyelids

Fat pads and/or dark circles around the lower eyelids can age even a young face. Sagging lower eyelids result from aging as well as genetics, making this procedure popular with men and women of all ages. A surgical procedure called "trans-conjunctival blepharoplasty" employs invisible incisions made inside the lower eyelid. A lower blepharoplasty will reduce the appearance of age and tiredness, removing dark circles and the fat pads, which detract from your appearance. The results are dramatic. With the addition of a gentle surgical technique and herbal remedies to reduce swelling and bruising, our patients usually return to their normal routine within three to four days.

    Midface Lifting

Aging in the midface can accentuate sagging of the lower eyelids and cheeks. Patients will typically remark that their cheekbones appear flattened. Endoscopic midface lifting will rejuvenate this area naturally without the need for artificial implants. This technique is often accompanied by brow lifting and blepharoplasty procedures. It can also be combined with face and neck lifting for complete facial rejuvenation. The incisions are placed behind the hairline and recovery is usually one to two weeks. If midface lifting is something you would like to learn more about, please call us for your complimentary consultation.

    Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)

Because gravity and the aging process affect individuals at different times, there is no "right time" to start thinking about a face lift. Both men and women who are concerned about improving the signs of facial aging are candidates for the procedure. We begin by tightening the skin, lifting loose jowls, redefining the jawline, and eliminating sagging tissue around the lips and nose. Our focus is on natural lifting techniques that do not change the appearance of our client's facial features. We have also developed a unique peri-operative program utilizing special vitamin compounds, herbals and tissue "glue" which allows our patients to experience minimal swelling and bruising and a shorter recovery time. Face lifts are often performed in combination with a neck lift or other procedures to restore facial appearance to a more youthful, rested state while achieving the most aesthetically pleasing result.

    Neck Contouring (Cervicoplasty, Liposuction)

Occasionally, we see clients who desire only treatment of the neck or area beneath the chin. For those with good skin elasticity and excess fatty deposits, liposuction under the chin alone may provide a wonderful result. This can be performed in our office under local anesthesia requiring only about a weekend to recover. If loose or excessive skin is noted, a lower face and neck lift may be necessary to produce the most aesthetically pleasing results. We would be happy to discuss the differences in these techniques with you and show you how we are able to help you achieve your goals.

    Laser Skin Resurfacing

The carbon dioxide (CO2) laser has proven to be one of the most revolutionary technologies developed for cosmetic surgery. Prior to laser procedures, only strong chemicals and dermabrasion were effective in removing facial wrinkles and acne scars. Now with the CO2 laser, we are able to achieve consistent results with higher precision and little risk of complications.

The laser rejuvenates skin by vaporizing the outermost layers. The procedure is bloodless, allowing for total visibility and control of the areas treated. Due to the depth of treatment possible, laser resurfacing also appears to promote collagen production, thus giving the skin a tighter, smoother appearance.

Laser skin resurfacing is performed to soften and remove wrinkles around the eyes, mouth or the entire face. Men and women with skin damaged by acne, exposure to the sun and the environment, or normal aging processes are ideal candidates for this procedure. Laser skin resurfacing is frequently performed in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as face lifting or eyelid enhancement, giving patients a restored sense of well-being and a healthy more youthful appearance.

Lip Enhancement (Autologous Fat Graft, Collagen Injection)

We receive requests for fuller, more luscious lips almost every day. Plastic surgeons achieve these results by "plumping" the lips with various materials. The past ten years have seen a multitude of products come to market and vanish just as quickly. The time-tested techniques of autologous fat grafting and collagen are still the top two methods of choice.

Autologous fat grafting simply means your own fatty tissue is harvested, cleansed, and reinjected into the lips in such a way as to plump and sculpt achieving the desired result. Because it is your own tissue there is no risk of rejection or allergic reactions. The only disadvantage is that some of the fat is eventually resorbed diminishing the overall result. This occurs over a period of many months.

Collagen on the other hand, is commercially available and is painlessly injected into the lips to achieve the desired result. A skin test must first be performed about one month prior to treatment to make sure that the patient has no allergy to the collagen material. Collagen too, is resorbed by the body after three to five months.

Fortunately, several new products available in Europe may soon be available in America. These new substances are organic polymers which are generally associated with fewer side effects and remain longer before resorption, sometimes up to one year. We are eagerly awaiting the sale of these products and anticipate excellent results with them. If you would like to know more about lip enhancement please do give us a call and ask to set up a complimentary consultation with our aesthetician.
